We are absolutely delighted to reveal our latest investment in Half Sword Games, currently working on the highly anticipated title Half Sword.
There has never been a team we clicked so instantly with nor a game that has mattered more to us than Half Sword.
When they popped in the Urban Escape in Stockholm wearing full body armor – we knew instantly that I wanted to back them.
We are also glad to announce that we will be fully publishing the game.
With over 500 000 organic downloads of their demo, 2.5k peaks and stable CCUs (Steam+Itch) over the last 6 months, with influencers such as xQc, Pestily, Sodappopin, Cartoonz […] having a blast on it, the team came to Stockholm with some pretty serious arguments and justifications for funding.
The physics-based aspect of the game makes it visually extremely stimulating to the prefrontal cortex as well as constantly triggering sensory meridians via movement anticipations. It is also extremely challenging as it offers innovative 3Cs, especially in how you control your weapon rendering proper hits extremely satisfying.
Also, yes, it is probably the most violent game you will see this year 🙂
From Exanima, Getting over it with Bennett Foddy, TABS all the way to Chivalry, Mordhau & with a clear and definite inspiration by Tarkov on how to manage stakes & replayability, a lot of games inspire the team and us.
We will strive to build on the current addictive nature of the game all while working on making it as satisfying as possible to play for hours on end.
